Growing up on Long Island, Dr. Lee Montes returned after attending
dental school at Columbia University in New York City. He was the
first in his class to open up in a solo practice. Dr. Montes has provided
the greater Smithtown and North Shore area of Long Island a family
practice where people feel welcome and comfortable.
Continuing education is very important to Dr. Montes. He completed
an intense program in an Advanced Education in General Dentistry at
SUNY Stony Brook. He has experience in all phases of dentistry
including Children's Dentistry, Implant Dentistry, Cosmetic Dentistry,
Computer Aided Design (CAD-CAM) Dentistry and Prosthetics (Crowns
and Bridges). Continuing his ideals of staying abreast of the new
trends in dentistry, Dr. Montes earned a Fellowship of the Academy of
General Dentistry. This is a prestigious honor earned after five years of
study, attending hundreds of hours of continuing education and passing
a rigorous board examination.
Dr. Montes is an active member in the Suffolk County Dental Society,
The Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association and
New York State Dental Association.
In his spare time Dr. Montes enjoys small sailboat racing year round
and travels to many regattas. He us an active member of his sailing
club, Wet Pants Sailing Association.
